Mandatory jail terms sought for violent teens//ABC... →
The Victorian Government is pushing ahead with plans to introduce mandatory minimum jail terms for teenagers convicted of violent crimes.
The Government has asked the sentencing advisory council for advice about introducing a two-year minimum sentence for 16 and 17-year-olds found guilty of recklessly or intentionally causing serious injury with gross violence.
