The ALP and the Coalition just voted TOGETHER today to cut welfare payments to single parent families. Most of which are women. Women like my mother, for example. So while they argue sexism and misogyny, they continue to do shit that puts women back decades.

Sometimes, I hate the internet.
So, a quick look at your tumblr makes me pretty sure you’re neither Australian, nor currently living in Australia, nor in any region under Australia’s sphere of influence. So… how dare you? How dare you put your desire to be inspired by some decontextualised gifs of some badass bitch over people’s right to talk about real life under said badass? How dare you tell people off for cynically googling “every heinous thing imaginable” rather than stopping to consider that they might know about this shit not because they’re inveterate nit-pickers, but because it affects their life? albertinho isn’t some disembodied “the internet” or “hypothetical you”, but a real live person living in an increasingly neoliberal Australia and therefore aware of and affected by what is actually happening here. If you were an Australian woman excited to see someone tell off a misogynist prick whose policies affect your life, I’d still think you were wrong to get so defensive about someone knocking Gillard off her pedestal, but I’d understand. but as it is, your sense of entitlement is grotesque.
