i support all of this except for DOORKNOCKING FOR TROTSKYISTS whaaat?
it sounds crazy right? but it’s this one weird trotskyist party that’s not an obnoxious cult. they’re running like six candidates for local council in one specific area, I’ve known most of the candidates for years and worked with them on other grassroots campaigns and I have a lot of respect for them. they’ve had a couple of people make it onto council before, including one long-term councillor, and not gone mad with power. they also have a lot of respect and a high profile among the most marginalised people in that community.
like I’m not gonna join the party or anything, I think they’re wrong about a lot of stuff to do with how social change happens, but it’s definitely a good outcome if they get in
