you’re so keen to know about local government politics, mysterious anon! the socialists of yarra council polled really well, better than they have in the past, but they only managed to re-elect one of their two councillors (of nine total). the second councillor was kind of a fluke, he originally got in at a by-election midterm. they’re pretty disappointed but they’re also pleased that they’re consolidating their support base.
