dumbassfils: wow I’ve heard from my friends who’ve been to Israel/Palestine that Israeli vegans are like, super-hardcore intense, to the point of serious tunnel vision.  like, a lot of militantly pro-Palestinian Israeli activists refused to support solidarity actions in support of Gazan fishers who were being prevented from accessing their fishing grounds.  I mean, that’s not an action in support of people’s right to eat tasty fish, that’s about fighting a concentrated attempt to destroy a people economically.  to be fair, though, I also know Australian vegans who refused to support the striking workers at the Baiada chicken plant, so this kind of thing is transnational.
